Turkish Delight is a charming Turkish restaurant nestled in the heart of Seattle’s iconic Pike Place Market at 1930 Pike Pl. This family-owned gem offers an authentic taste of Turkey with a menu that brings to life the rich culinary traditions of this vibrant cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you are embraced by the warm, welcoming atmosphere radiating genuine hospitality — it's like being invited into a beloved Turkish family’s kitchen.
The menu reads like a love letter to Turkish flavors. Start your meal with a comforting bowl of their renowned lentil soup, celebrated by patrons as the best in the U.S., packed with deep, soulful spices and the kind of homestyle richness that evokes fond memories of a mother’s cooking. The Chicken Combo Platter and Doner Kebab showcase tender, marinated meats grilled to perfection, perfectly paired with fresh pita bread and vibrant salads that balance each bite with refreshing notes.
No visit is complete without indulging in their heavenly desserts. The pistachio baklava is a standout—flaky, buttery layers generously filled with crushed pistachios and just the right amount of sweetness to delight your palate without overwhelming it. Pair it with a cup of their robust Turkish espresso or famously rich Turkish coffee, which comes highly praised for its deep aroma and smooth finish. Even their traditional Turkish Delight candies shine as soft, handcrafted treats that are vegan-friendly, gluten-free, and perfectly balanced in sweetness, capturing the essence of this beloved confection.
Every dish at Turkish Delight is crafted with love and authenticity, a sentiment echoed by customers who describe the food as "incredibly flavorful" and "full of love." The attentiveness and warmth of Denisse and her family add a personal touch that transforms dining here into a truly memorable experience. Whether you’re craving the lamb stew that longtime Middle East residents hail as unparalleled, or the mouthwatering gyro and borek, this restaurant invites you to savor the true spirit of Turkish cuisine in an intimate, home-like setting.
For anyone seeking a genuine culinary journey to Turkey without leaving Seattle, Turkish Delight is a must-visit destination. It’s not just a meal—it’s a heartfelt connection to tradition, culture, and the joyous pleasure of exceptional food shared in good company.
This is hands down the best lentil soup and baklava I’ve had in the U.S.! The owner is absolutely lovely. The soup was incredibly flavorful—it tasted just like something my mom would make. The Turkish delights were also fresh and delicious. Everything felt homemade and full of love.
Absolutely love Turkish Delight! This family-owned restaurant is such a gem, Denisse and her mom are always so warm and welcoming. They even remembered me after not visiting for half a year, which made me feel like family. The food is consistently delicious, I highly recommend the doner wrap, chicken platter, and their baklava (it’s incredible!).
Perfeeeect Baklava and Turkish Espresso!! No need to travel to Turkey from Seattle! This place is owned by a Turkish family. I have been to Istanbul before and i can say that their version is even more delicious!! Baklava is flaky with generous crushed pistachio and heavenly sweet but not overly sweet! It pairs very well with their unsweetened coffee! Warm and welcoming service from the family owned business
OMG , Food , baklava and pistachio, coffee , everything was fantastic. Very nice and respectable family . Although visiting the market is always awesome but next time , I wont visit Seattle for the market , but for this store.
The best food in Pikes Place. There are many stalls, vendors and restaurant here. Many overpriced mediocre ones. Not Turkish Delight! This place is a gem. I lived in the Middle East for many years. I know this cuisine well. This is the best lamb stew, lentil stew and lamb shawarma I have ever had. Period. 10/10 for every dish I bought there. And the Turkish delight, is a treat as well. Friendly owners. Great service. Magnificent food. I rarely give restaurants high praise, unless it’s deserved. Turkish Delight deserves it! Go try it. You’ll be so happy you did.
The best Turkish food ever! The lentil soup, lamb stew, and baklava are absolutely delicious, and the Turkish delights are incredibly fresh. This is family-owned shop and they are so lovely. I keep coming back for both the amazing food and the warm, welcoming service!
If you prefer taste over atmosphere, this is the right spot! Their lentil soup is famous, and it was amazing. I also tried their döner kebab sandwich and loved it. Everything was rich, flavorful, and amazing. Definitely worth checking out.
The vegetarian sandwich was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. The lentil soup and pistachio baklava were also awesome but I’ll be dreaming about that sandwich for a long time!
